Koyo HK Metric Needle Roller Bearing

Koyo HK Caged Metric Needle Bearings: Same design as NA and NK type cylindrical rollers. Suitable for applications needing minimal cross-section height. Rollers are longer and thinner than cylindrical rollers. Cannot handle thrust loads but have high radial capacity. Available with or without inner rings and seals. If no inner ring, the shaft needs to be heat-treated and ground as the raceway. HK is a drawn cup bearing using an outer ring shell without extra machining. Available with open ends or a single closed end. Drawn cup design can have a cage or be full complement without a cage. HK bearings have caged needles; cage is made of pressed steel.

Koyo HK Caged Metric Needle Bearings
The basic design of needle rollers bearings is the same as the NA and NK type cylindrical roller. For those applications where minimal cross section height is required. The rollers of needle bearings are longer and smaller in diameter than cylindrical rollers. Needle roller bearing cannot carry thrust loading but have relatively high radial capacity.
Needle rollers are available in different styles with and without inner rings and seals. When used without inner rings the shaft is heat treated and ground to function as the raceway surface. HK is a drawn cup needle roller bearing that uses an outer ring shell that forms a cup with no additional machining performed. Drawn cup needle bearings are available with open ends or a single closed end to seal and protect the end of the shaft. The drawn cup design is also made with a cage or as a full complement without a cage. The HK metric needle roller bearing has caged needles and the cage material is pressed steel.
